\n\u201cCompanhia\u201d, B3: JALL3), em cumprimento ao disposto na Instru\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00ba 358, de 3 de janeiro
\nde 2002, da Comiss\u00e3o de Valores Mobili\u00e1rios (\u201cCVM\u201d), conforme alterada, comunica aos
\nseus acionistas e ao mercado em geral que, em reuni\u00e3o do Conselho de Administra\u00e7\u00e3o
\nrealizada na data de ontem (20\/07\/2021), foram aprovados os investimentos necess\u00e1rios
\npara a expans\u00e3o em 1,0 milh\u00e3o de toneladas no volume de moagem em suas duas
\nunidades industriais, Unidade Jalles Machado \u2013 UJM e Unidade Ot\u00e1vio Lage \u2013 UOL. Os
\ninvestimentos fazem parte do plano de crescimento da Companhia com o uso dos recursos
\nda Oferta P\u00fablica Inicial de a\u00e7\u00f5es (\u201cIPO\u201d), conforme mencionado no prospecto do IPO.
\nSer\u00e3o investidos, ao longo das Safras 2021\/22, 2022\/23, 2023\/24 e 2024\/25, o total de
\nR$517,4 milh\u00f5es para aumentar o volume de mat\u00e9ria-prima dispon\u00edvel e a capacidade
\nindustrial da UJM em 300,0 mil toneladas e da UOL em 700,0 mil toneladas, totalizando
\n1,0 milh\u00e3o toneladas nas duas unidades.
\nDo volume total a ser investido, (i) R$231,2 milh\u00f5es ser\u00e3o nos parques industriais e
\narmazenagem, (ii) R$148,2 milh\u00f5es em plantio e maquin\u00e1rios agr\u00edcolas, (iii) R$45,0
\nmilh\u00f5es em irriga\u00e7\u00e3o objetivando ganho de produtividade, e (iv) R$93,0 milh\u00f5es em
\ncogera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia na UOL, nas opera\u00e7\u00f5es desenvolvidas com a Albioma Codora Energia.
\nO escopo dos investimentos inicialmente previsto foi ampliado, decidindo a Companhia
\npela aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nova caldeira de maior capacidade e outros equipamentos de
\ncogera\u00e7\u00e3o, no valor total de R$93,0 milh\u00f5es. Com a nova caldeira ser\u00e1 poss\u00edvel (i) a
\nsubstitui\u00e7\u00e3o do recolhimento de palha por volume de baga\u00e7o incremental, que
\npossibilitar\u00e1 redu\u00e7\u00e3o de custos de aproximadamente R$10,0 milh\u00f5es\/ano, (ii) processar na
\nUOL at\u00e9 3,5 milh\u00f5es de toneladas, ou seja, 500 mil toneladas a mais do que o projeto inicial,
\nsem novos investimentos em gera\u00e7\u00e3o de vapor em eventual novo plano de expans\u00e3o, e (iii)
\nmaior flexibilidade para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de a\u00e7\u00facar org\u00e2nico e convencional na UOL.<\/p>\n
Observado o cronograma de plantio e demais investimentos industriais e em maquin\u00e1rios,
\na Companhia espera que o volume de moagem adicional de 1,0 milh\u00e3o de toneladas seja
\nintegralmente atingido na safra 2024\/25. Dessa forma, estima-se que a capacidade
\nindustrial das duas unidades passar\u00e1 de 5,3 milh\u00f5es para 6,3 milh\u00f5es de toneladas.

\nInvestments to Increase Crushing Volume by 1.0 MM Metric Tons Approved
\nGoian\u00e9sia, July 21, 2021 \u2014 In compliance with Instruction 358, issued by the CVM [Comiss\u00e3o
\nde Valores Mobili\u00e1rios, or Brazilian Securities Commission] and dated January 3, 2002,
\nJALLES MACHADO S.A. (\u201cJalles Machado\u201d or \u201cCompany,\u201d B3: JALL3) hereby announces to
\nits shareholders and the market in general that the investments needed to increase the
\ncrushing volume of two of its industrial units, Unidade Jalles Machado \u2013 UJM and Unidade
\nOt\u00e1vio Lage \u2013 UOL, by 1.0 million metric tons were approved at a Meeting of the Board of
\nDirectors held yesterday (07\/20\/2021.) The Company will be using funds obtained through
\nits Initial Public Offering (\u201cIPO\u201d), as mentioned in the IPO Prospectus, to make those
\ninvestments as part of its growth plan.
\nIt will be investing R$517.4 million over the 2021\/22, 2022\/23, 2023\/24 and 2024\/25 Crop
\nSeasons to increase raw material availability, as well as the industrial capacity of UJM and
\nUOL, respectively by 300.0 and 700.0 thousand metric tons, totaling another 1.0 million
\nmetric tons in both units.
\nThe investments will be allocated as follows: (i) R$231.2 million to industrial facilities and
\nstorage, (ii) R$148.2 million to planting and agricultural machinery, (iii) R$45.0 million to
\nirrigation to boost productivity, and (iv) R$93.0 million to energy cogeneration at UOL, in
\noperations carried out jointly with Albioma Codora Energia.
\nThe Company has broadened the scope of investments determined initially and decided to
\nacquire a new higher capacity boiler and other cogeneration equipment, at a total cost of
\nR$93.0 million. The new boiler will make it possible to (i) replace the collection of straw by
\nthe amount of incremental bagasse, leading to cost savings of about R$10.0 million\/year,
\n(ii) process up to 3.5 million metric tons at UOL, that is, 500 thousand metric tons more
\nthan initially estimated, with no need for further investments in steam generation in any
\nnew expansion plan and (iii) have greater flexibility to produce organic and conventional
\nsugar at UOL.
\nThe Company expects the additional sugarcane crushing volume of 1.0 million metric tons
\nto be achieved in the 2024\/25 crop season if the planting schedule is followed and other
\nindustrial and machinery investments are made. Thus, the industrial capacity of both units
\nis expected to increase from 5.3 million to 6.3 million metric tons<\/p>\n
